In other news, that beautiful BB&T Stadium was payed a visit by the famous winning Charlotte team LeadVision. ..To go see the Knights play. A great time was had by all; Warm weather, casual clothing and the first round on the boss! The Knights played against the Redtails, and while this reporter will stay pretty unbiased team-wise, someone got seriously handed before the end of the night. It was an interesting evening to say the least, the most important part of which was that everyone enjoyed themselves to the fullest and had quite a bit of fun. Two employees went so far as to attempt a hazardly delicious and totally unrelated combination of food product from the consessions; A hot dog topped with mac & cheese.

“No seriously, when I asked for a hot dog, she said what would I like on it? Ketchup? Mustard? Or Macaroni & Cheese.”

Rumor has it, that it’s actually not bad.

Denizens of the Charlotte (And beyond, like Concord and such.) There was a great roar of victory emerging from the ever-so-active group of individuals coincidentally mashed up into one office. So, that was an over exaggeration. But a competition, complete with a winner, has taken place during this year’s Speed Street. The strangely similar contest entitled Speed Street Olympics, or SSO for short, tasked our heroes with a grueling list of risky,  publicly embarrassing, and downright hilarious ‘accomplishments’ as part of a grand scavenger hunt. Here’s the basic rundown of what our objectives were:

1. Selfies with an actual band member(s)
2. Selfie with a police officer
3. Free items
4. Free food/drink
5. Random singing/dancing act
6. Spirit Pictures (Charlotte Hornets)

With only 45 minutes these tasks had to be completed with a bit of haste, as the competition was point-based. Naturally, there were more in-depth stipulations for each, to which we had to adhere to lest we not receive points for them. All in all, it was a great time had by all with extremely incriminating video and pictures taken that are surely to be stored as ammunition at a later date.

Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages! Prepare to be amazed by the most interesting and entertaining series of office-sport related events to ever grace the history of mankind. That’s right, it’s the never-before seen, soon to be internet-televised 1st Annual Fred Olympics! ..Or Fredlympics for short. Titled after LeadVision’s very own star-on-the-fly-challenger Fred Mitchell (No relation.) Don’t let the ‘Annual’ title fool you though, folks. These events take place much more often than the namesake is giving credit for! And you, our faithful audience shall bear witness to all of it’s glory as we span the course of these events in excruciating detail and visual flair.

*Rumor even has it that one of the events actually comes with a penalty box for the loser. More details as the story develops.

This is a name all to familiar to avid fans of the singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffet. Our all too generous CEO David decided it would be a great idea to give us a firsthand experience of this superstar, master of the music style ‘Drunken Caribbean Rock ‘n Roll’.  There was tailgating involved, great food, drinks and many, many, games of corn-hole to which the losses were staggering (for some). The concert itself was a sight to behold; Shining acoustic stage guitars, crowd surfing inflatable sharks, and bright tropical colors (with great video backgrounds) enhancing the atmosphere of ‘island escapism’ that Jimmy’s music portrayed so well.
